With two rounds of Junior Workshops completed, we have begun to learn what your student will need to navigate the world of being a Senior at Jenkintown. The first workshop focused on registering for Collegeboard and the SATs. I have to say I was impressed that many students already had completed this step.
The second round of workshops focused on getting registered for Naviance/Family Connection and taking a career interest inventory. The students were exposed to “the” guidance website Seniors use to update college applications, request transcripts, and many other wonderful things. Additionally, students were able to discover their potential career interests and investigate them further.
The upcoming Junior Workshop will focus on the different functions of Naviance/Family Connection and how to use them to maximize their Senior year experience regarding college applications!
Talk to your student about Naviance/Family Connection. Ask them if they know how this website will help them next year. Explore with them the different areas of Naviance/Family Connection. The more you and your student knows about this website, the easier the process will be next year.
